Balog Scores Top Ten at Sharon Speedway with All Star Circuit of Champions
Hartland, Wisconsin (May 2nd, 2022) – Bill Balog and B Squared Motorsports collected another heat race win, the third of the season, and another top ten A-Main finish in the Buckeye Cup at Sharon Speedway with the 2022 Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1. After a strong qualifying performance Saturday, April 30th, and heat race victory, the Anderson’s Maple Syrup #17B qualified for the feature event by way of the Dash redraw, before ultimately finishing the 30 lap, A-main event in ninth.
“We’ve had good success at Sharon in the past, I really love coming here. We qualified well, that is our goal for the year, you have to be in a position to win. ” said Balog, driver of the CK Contractors LLC, Buesser Concrete, Howard Law, Wayne Corini, CPA, Capitol Senior Services LLC, Rocky Rococo's Pizza, Turn It Up Media sprint car.
The night before, at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, Bill qualified second in his group, securing a pole position start in the heat. After a 1 row penalty, Bill finished the heat in 4th place, securing the team a transfer to the feature event. After 30 laps, Bill and the team would ultimately finish 19th.
With heavy, overnight rains saturating Waynesfield Raceway Park’s facility, Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 and Waynesfield officials made the mutual decision to postpone the event scheduled for Sunday, May 1st, until Sunday, May 15. Waynesfield Raceway Park will now cap a three-race weekend through Michigan and Ohio with visits to I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan, and Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, opening the trip on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, respectively.
